When Chestnut Hill Sound was ready to launch George, their brand-new
digital audio playback system, they called on DVP to provide a full
branding effort in the form of a video to introduce the product, that was
recently awarded Best Of Show at MacWorld 2007.
From concept to copy, narration to completion, DVP created 3D Maya
animations of the product with live action video that was captured with 35
mm Nikon lenses through a Redrock M2 equipped Panasonic HVX200 HD camera.
Targeting 90 million iPod owners, the spot was intended to focus on the
quality and unique features of George by providing an upscale and refined
branding message encapsulated in a clean high-end visual.

Collaborating creatively with clients is the surest way to achieve great
results. "I Am Mode" a video project we recently completed for our client
Speakercraft proves this point. A fun concept, lighthearted copy and great
performances from the actors made the post production totally enjoyable.
The final result was just what the client's concept intended, and earned
both DVP and Speakercraft the prestigious Telly award. Chalk one up for
collaborating. |

DVP helped SpeakerCraft launch Tantra, a new line of upscale loudspeakers designed to appeal to customers with a more critical ear. A great deal of the design effort was focused on speakers that are both physically appealing and able to provide the sonic performance which is so critical in higher end systems. The two minute video had to reflect the quality and unique features of the speaker line. The video features a blend of beautiful nature imagery and artistic product shots.
Footage was shot with our high definition cinema camera featuring a 35mm lens adaptor and a large assortment of Nikon primes. The video shot in house seamlessly matches the stock footage acquired on 35 millimeter film.

DVP collaborated with the SSI team to create a concept for the movie trailer style of presentation that would cast child actors in the roles of “expert scientists” delving into the question of other habitable worlds.
The idea that the children had gained this knowledge from viewing museum presentations like Alien Earths would not go unnoticed by our target demographic, science museum curators and educators across the country. Creating a HUD-like environment with a futuristic feel would require some green screen capture and some pretty cool postproduction. Concept being born, the DVP/SSI teams went to work to create an unforgettable video production.

If you've heard of Ibanez and Tama -- major names in guitars and drums -- you've indirectly heard of Hoshino. The company serves as the wholesale and distribution arm to countries outside of Japan. Established in 1971, Hoshino is the leading international manufacturer and distributor of guitars and drums.
When Tama set out to promote a new line of drums, they turned to DVP to shoot a two camera documentary style interview with drummer Jason Bittner from the Grammy nominated metal band Shadows Fall.

This content rich project was designed to educate and entertain. SPRAY, a McLain Science Education creation, was made in cooperation with NASA, Johnson Space Center, Colorado State University and Lucas Film Limited.
The museum educators giving this presentation will be aided by none other than R2D2. The famous Droid took time from yet another secret mission to help kids learn about science in space. Courtesy of Lucas Film Limited, R2 was shot on green screen for this project at Industrial Light and Magic and composited at DVP into an Imperial Star Destroyer. The crew of STS 107 offer a personal, first-hand account of what it is like to be in space and the training and preparation it takes to get there.

Director Nino Del Padre and Producer Mark Archer have wraped-up the production of Recovery.
Recovery is a short experimental video project that uses images, music and spoken word to depict a series of dreams. Five vignettes are interlaced in a thought provacative and visually enticing manner that captures the warmth and vitality of summer.
